Should young Indian players be allowed to play in foreign leagues? Ex-India coach Anil Kumble says 'why not'
However, while the overseas players are welcomed in the IPL, the BCCI doesn't allow any active Indian cricketer to participate in these foreign leagues.

Former India captain Anil Kumble wants BCCI to allow its young players to participate in different T20 leagues around globe to gain exposure and experience before 2024 World Cup to be held in West Indies and United States.
Since emergence of Indian Premier League in 2008, many countries have started ir own T20 leagues including Australia's Big Bash League (BBL), Pakistan Premier League (PSL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL) etc.

However, while overseas players are welcomed in IPL, BCCI doesn't allow any active Indian cricketer to participate in se foreign leagues.
"I think exposure certainly helps. We have seen that with kind of development that it has h on Indian cricket. For example, IPL, where overseas players come in and kind of changes we've h in Indian cricket has certainly helped.

"In terms of giving an opportunity to a young player to go overseas and have a crack, n why t?" Kumble was quoted as saying by 'ESPNCricinfo'.
"I think it's important that you need to have everything that you need to do that come 2024, you are well prepared to take on a World Cup event." Several Indian players h entered tournament without experience of playing in Australia.

On or hand, likes of Jos Buttler and Alex Hales utilised ir extensive experience of playing in BBL to hand India a 10-wicket drubbing in T20 World Cup semifinal on Thursday.
This was despite fact that England did t play a single game in elaide throughout tournament. Kumble opined that India need to be more flexible in ir batting approach and line-up.

" or thing that I also feel that needs to come into this team is flexible approach to batting or batting order.
"Because in T20s, I certainly believe re is fixed batting order. You have to be flexible in way you are going to go about using your resources," Kumble said.

former leg-spinner feels team manment should go back to drawing board and first identify brand of cricket India will play in future and select youngsters who fit in plan and provide m exposure to succeed.
"And likewise, if you identify brand of cricket that we are looking at and n identify se key young players who you believe need those exposures, n why t? I think that's important."
