Banglesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reportedly appointed ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza as mediator to resolve dispute between country's cricket board and its cricketers, who have gone on an indefinite strike over pay and benefits.  According to a report, players are likely to meet with Banglesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials later on Wednesday.  "After media conference last evening, I spoke to a senior player who told me that y would get back to us at any time after discussing among mselves. We expect to sit with m at 5 pm today," BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said in a press briefing at on.

Mashrafe Mortaza to mediate 

Samakal, a local daily, quoted BCB Director Mahbubul Anam as saying that Hasina enquired about crisis with Mashrafe Mortaza, who led team in 2019 World Cup.  "She wanted to kw latest about cricket's situation," he said. n she asked Mashrafe to tell players to return to field." According to report, all indications are that issue is heing towards a positive outcome.

BCB chief said that board have agreed to bigger demands before. With ongoing National Cricket League, BCB is currently focused on country’s domestic circuit while earlier, governing council was focused on World Cup in England. Meanwhile, BCB assembled an emergency meeting this Tuesday to dress players impending requirements.
