England World Cup superstar Ben Stokes withdrew from a tour game ahead of SL vs ENG series after suffering an abdominal strain. re has been return date specified for star all-rounder and his participation in IPL 2020 is in question. However, Rajasthan Royals would hope that IPL 2020 postponement would mean that y will have a fit Ben Stokes playing for m in tournament.

Ben Stokes was initially named in XI for tour game ahead of SL vs ENG series but did t come out to bat in his usual .5 position, which was taken by Ollie Pope. Leg spinner Matt Parkinson replaced Stokes overnight. IND vs SA called off, IPL postponed, Aus vs NZ played behind closed doors

Coronavirus pandemic has seen a massive rise in cases all over globe and many major sporting events have been cancelled in wake of deadly virus. SL vs ENG has been called off after two people tested positive for Coronavirus in Sri Lanka, while IND vs SA series was also called off. AUS vs NZ is being played behind closed doors, while IPL remains postponed.

BCCI has rescheduled start of IPL 2020 to April 15 from its March 29 start, after growing cases of Coronavirus Pandemic in India. Rajasthan Royals hope that Ben Stokes will be fit when IPL 2020 kicks off, with all-rounder being a major part of Royals' plans.
