Ganguly took to Instagram and posted a few photos alongside T20 World Cup 2021 trophy. In one of photos, Ganguly can be seen standing alongside BCCI Horary Secretary Jay Shah. BCCI President captioned photo, "Launch of ICC World T20 for India 21...".

"Matter of great hour for India to be hosting T20 World Cup 2021" - Sourav Ganguly
With marque event just a year away, BCCI and ICC came toger to reveal brand identity of 16-team tournament in Dubai on Thursday. Speaking in an official release from ICC, Ganguly said that it is a matter of great hour for India to be hosting ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. He ded that India has successfully hosted several global events since ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 1987 and he is sure that cricketers from around world would be excited at prospect of playing in a cricket-loving country like India.

BCCI chief furr said that he has enjoyed being part of ICC events as a player and kw from experience that thing beats buzzing atmosphere of a global cricket event with millions around world watching every game. Ganguly reckoned that he is looking forward to playing his part as an ministrator as y prepare to host prestigious event.
Jay Shah stated that BCCI will leave stone unturned in ensuring that health and safety of everyone concerned in this showpiece event are taken care of. He ded that BCCI is determined to provide a rich cricket-viewing experience. Shah also assured ICC and Member Boards that India is kwn for its warm hospitality and y will make everyone feel at home. He opined that in se times of pandemic when re are severe restrictions, BCCI believes in policy of invating and apting. Shah was confident that y will overcome every challenge.

upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 is seventh edition of tournament which comes five years after last event which was held in India in 2016. As many as sixteen teams from across world will be competing in competition, including Papa New Guinea as newest qualified nation. teams that will battle it out in T20 World Cup 2021 are Afghanistan, Australia, Banglesh, England, India, Ireland, Namibia, Nerlands, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
