While speaking to Revsportz, Sourav Ganguly clarified his thoughts on Team India keeping Sarfaraz Khan in main squ for Border Gavaskar Trophy. While several critics believe that middle-order batter's inclusion in such a high-profile Test series is quite early, Ganguly underlined upon handing opportunities to cricketers before handing out a ruling. He also emphasized that Sarfaraz has scored huge runs in domestic cricket and has earned his spot on national side.

"You have to give him a chance to know. How can you say anything without giving him an opportunity? Let him fail first. He has scored tons of runs in domestic cricket and has earned his spot in team. No one has given it to him. So don't write him off before you have given him a chance. Once you do so, n you will be in a position to judge. I am very clear - you must give him an opportunity to know how good or b he is. Without doing so, don't pass judgment on him," former Team India skipper said.
