In an effort to counter effects of dew, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) has been spraying a special chemical on outfield at Holkar Stadium here. India will take on Sri Lanka in second game of three-match T20 International series on Tuesday.

What MPCA chief curator had to say?

MPCA chief curator Samander Singh Chauhan said on Monday that to beat effects of dew, a special chemical was being sprayed over ground since last three days. Besides, he said, grass on ground was also t being watered since last three days to minimize effects of dew.

"We sincerely hope spectators will get to see fours and sixes raining in match," he said.

Since game will commence at 7 pm, dew could be a factor in deciding outcome, especially in second half of match. Fans are erly waiting for second T20 International as opener on Sunday was abandoned due to wet patches on track following rain in Guwahati. It had started to pour 15 minutes before scheduled start after India skipper Virat Kohli had won toss and elected to bowl. However, re is rain threat in Indore on match day. final match of series will be played in Pune on January 10.
