Steve Smith backs Kohli's decision to go on paternity leave: 'He is also human being'

Steve Smith has backed Indian skipper Virat Kohli's decision of going on paternity leave after the conclusion of the 1st Test match at the Adelaide Oval.

Australian batting sensation Steve Smith has backed his Indian counterpart Virat Kohli's decision of going on paternity leave after conclusion of first Test match that will be played under lights at elaide Oval on December 17. 

Virat will be making a solitary Test appearance in pink-ball Test match after which he will be returning back to India to be with his better half Anushka Sharma as couple is expecting ir first child in January. Indian skipper has been granted paternity leave by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

'Credit to him'

" doubt it is a big loss for India. We kw Virat is a world-class player and you got to give him credit for how much he loved playing down here. He is also a human being and has got a life outside of cricket and a family that is starting," Smith told reporters in an online media interaction from elaide.

"Credit to him for wanting to be re for birth of his first child. We kw how much he loves playing in Australia and how good he is. Lots of credit to go to him for wanting to be re," former Aussie skipper ded.
