With a few days to go for Ashes 2021-22, Cricket Australia (CA) is yet to anunce skipper of Australian Cricket Team who will lead squad in series against England. cricketing world went into shock after Tim Paine stepped down from captaincy of Australia in Test following revelations of his private text messs involving a former Cricket Tasmania employee. After this, cricket experts started naming ir choice who could be next captain of Australia in Test, w England's speedster James Anderson is recent one to join trend.

Speaking to Morning Herald, James Anderson backed Pat Cummins who could lead Australia in upcoming Ashes and Test. Anderson stated that bowlers should be captain as y think a lot about game. "I think more bowlers should be captain. only issue n is trying to get time off - when you're off field, you want to switch off, whereas if you're captain you've got to watch game and be in it and you can't switch off maybe as much," said Anderson.

"Bowlers do think a lot about game. We are thinking cricketers w. I think he'd be good at it. You can see he leads brilliantly in team. He's a leader of bowling attack and you can see he's got that ability, so why t give him a chance? re are lots of arguments why it would suit to have a bowler as captain, but it's just t done thing, is it? Captains like to look good at first slip and look like y're making all field-position changes and doing all good stuff. But I'm all for it," Anderson added.
