Australia's premier batsman Steve Smith has vowed to come back strongly after he was dismissed cheaply by offie R Ashwin in the Adelaide Test match

Steve Smith revealed how veteran offie Ravichandran Ashwin h succeeded in getting his number during first Test at elaide Oval. 'Smudge' was sent back to pavilion by Tamil Nu cricketer after he h only mand to score a single run off 29 deliveries that he h faced in Australia's first innings.

“. I just knicked one that didn’t spin, unfortunately, that happens sometimes. I thought it was pretty well bowled, to be honest. two balls prior spun a bit and got a bit grip of wicket and next one was kind of sidespin which skidded off. I didn’t play as well as I would have liked. It was some decent bowling,” said Smith as quoted by ANI.

“I kw he got better of me or day, hopefully, I will learn something and move forward. And play him a little bit better in next game,"   top-ranked Test batsman ded.

When Smith was deceived by Ashwin

This happened on final ball of 27th over of Australia's first innings. Smith h scored a painstaking solitary run off 28 balls and looked to be out of touch as he was only playing defensive shots which eventually led to his downfall.

Ashwin h floated one on off stump as elegant number three batsman attempted to play a forward defensive shot. ball h spun so much that it took outside edge of his bat and Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane me mistake at first slip as he took a good low catch.

After a forgettable outing in opening Test, 'Smithy' will be hoping to rediscover his rhythm in second Test match at iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground as hosts look to take an unassailable 2-0 le in four-match series.  A win at MCG will help hosts in securing series irrespective of outcome in final two Tests in Sydney and Brisbane respectively.
