Steve Smith has made a marvellous return to international cricket since his ban in 2018. Smith made a whopping 774 runs in this year's Ashes series and solidified his im as arguably world's best Test batsman. Cricket Australia hyped up ir first home Test series of new season by posting a video on ir Twitter.

Smith made a fantastic return to Australian Test team after being ousted in 2018 because of ball-tampering incident that involved captain Smith, vice-captain David Warner, and batsman Cameron Bancroft. Smith made his Test return for Australia in Ashes of 2019 and dominated entire series.

Smith had a spectacular Ashes series, earlier this year, as he helped Aussies retain urn. In his very first match, Smith made 144 in first innings and 142 in second innings. Smith suffered a concussion in second Test and still went on to score 92. He returned in fourth Test to score 211 and become first batsman to score more than 500 runs in three successive Ashes series. Smith ended Ashes with 774 runs, most runs scored by any batsman in an Ashes series since 1989. Australia will w begin its home season by taking on Pakistan in two Tests with first one being played at Gabba in Brisbane on vember 21.
