In the upcoming two months, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli as India set sail for a series of crucial tournaments, commencing with the Asia Cup 2023, followed by the World Cup 2023. The success of India in these prominent events will greatly hinge on Kohli's batting prowess. Kohli was India's highest run-scorer in both the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup in 2022. His contributions with the bat helped India greatly but the team failed to make it past the semi-final stage.

Suryakumar Yadav trolls Virat Kohli

Former captain Virat Kohli is presently enjoying a brief respite from the game. His most recent appearance was in India vs West Indies ODI series, and his next outing is anticipated to be in the high-stakes clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 at the Asia Cup 2023.

During this break, Kohli has been diligently training, as evidenced by videos he has shared on his social media profiles. Simultaneously, he is also occupied with promotional shoots, some of which were shared by his wife, the actress Anushka Sharma. Suryakumar Yadav, Kohli's fellow teammate, provided an amusing reaction to one of these posts.

Suryakumar Yadav took to the comment section of a post shared by Anushka Sharma and trolled Virat Kohli. The photo showed Anushka and Kohli running in their PUMA attires for a promotional shoot. Suryakumar Yadav wrote, "Bhaiya thoda running technique halka padra hai apka."

SKY's torrid times in international ODIs

Suryakumar Yadav has also been included in India's Asia Cup 2023 squad. However, Suryakumar is unlikely to start for India given that Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have returned to the side for the tournament. Suryakumar's stats in One-Day Internationals are not as good as they are in T20Is. 

The BCCI on Monday unveiled India's squad for Asia Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma has been named the captain of the side, while Hardik Pandya will travel as his deputy.
