Surya reached his fifty in just 24 balls which was the fastest by an Indian in an ODI match against Australia. The previous best was Kohli's 27-ball half-century which he scored against the Aussies in the year 2013 at Jaipur. In the same match, Virat Kohli hit the fastest century by an Indian in an ODI match reaching the mark in just 52 balls.
