T20 World Cup: How can India qualify for semi-finals despite losing to South Africa?
India lost the match to South Africa by five wickets are and now second on the T20 World Cup Group 2 points table with South Africa taking the top spot.

Team India's unbeaten start to T20 World Cup 2022 was ended by South Africa on Sunday, October 30 after a nail-biting 5-wicket loss. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, or batsmen failed to deal with Proteas pacers. Before match against South Africa, India was unbeaten in Group 2 after winning both ir opening matches against Pakistan and Nerlands. However, loss to Proteas in Perth makes situation a little tricky for Men in Blue. Team India is scheduled to face Bangladesh on vember 2 and Zimbabwe on vember 6 and needs to win both remaining matches to qualify for kckouts.
Rohit Sharma-led team will be aiming to finish group st at top of points table and to do that, y will t only need to win ir remaining matches but also South Africa to lose eir of ir games against Pakistan or Nerlands. If one of South Africa's games is washed out, India can also achieve top spot on basis of net run rate.

India vs South Africa match highlights
After winning toss and opting to bat first, India lost both ir openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul inside first five overs. Lungi Ngidi removed both batsmen for 15 and 9 runs respectively. India's situation got worse as three more wickets fell in next four overs. India lost half of team for just 49 runs on board with Ngidi accounting for two more wickets, of Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.

It was Suryakumar Yadav who gave some respect to India's total by playing an explosive kck of 68 runs in just 40 balls. batter was eventually dismissed by Wayne Parnell. left-arm pacer finished with three wickets, while Anrich rtje had one wicket to his name. Indian bowlers began with a bang as Arshdeep Singh accounted for wickets of Rilee Rossouw and Quinton de Kock in one over to put Proteas on backfoot. However, match-winning partnership between Markram and David Miller and sloppy effort on field by India led to m losing match in final over.
