But Stuart Broad is not on the list of unfortunates. He was hit for six sixes in the initial phase of his career, but he did not let a horrible chapter ruin his career. 600 Test wickets later, he is now a legend in the sport and upon announcing his decision to retire, even, Yuvraj Singh, who once took him to the cleaners, has congratulated Broad on a fantastic career.

Most wickets for England in Ashes
Stuart Broad made the decision to bid adieu to the game while being a part of the Ashes. It must be noted that Broad is England's highest wicket-taker in the Ashes. He has played a total of 40 Tests in the eminent series and till now has snared 151 scalps. He is only behind Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath in the overall list. Moreover, he is just one step below his English partner James Anderson, who is England's leading wicket-taker.
