Team India have crushed Sri Lanka in the final by 10 wickets to win the Asia Cup 2023 title at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. India bowled out Sri Lanka for just 50 runs in the first innings before reaching the score in just 5 overs. Mohammed Siraj took 6 wickets while Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets in a magical bowling performance by India. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan came out to open for India and they reached the target in just 6.1 overs.

The Indian cricket team before this while bowling first, wrapped up the Sri Lankan batting lineup for a meagre score of 50 runs. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah removed opener Kusal Perera for a duck in the first over and gave the 'Men in Blue' a tremendous start. However, it was Mohammed Siraj, who became the star of the match and removed four Sri Lankan batters in a single over. Siraj didn't stop here and ended the match with figures of 6/21 in seven overs, picking up his first five-wicket haul in ODIs.

Siraj produced a sensational spell as India thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets to win the Asia Cup here on Sunday. Siraj helped India dismiss Sri Lanka for a paltry 50 with a six-wicket haul in the final.

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka found themselves in an embarrassing situation losing their first six wickets for 12 runs. Their innings ended in just 15.2 overs. Siraj ended with dream figures of six for 21 in seven overs while Hardik Pandya chipped in with three wickets.

India raced to the 51-run target in 6.1 overs with Shubman Gill (27 not out) and Ishan Kishan (23 not out) in the middle.
