Inability to cash in on a good start cost South Africa but visitors were in way outplayed in second T20 International against India, insists Proteas Test specialist Temba Bavuma, who h a decent outing in his debut in shortest format. South Africa looked set for 180 when skipper Quinton de Kock (52) and Bavuma (49) were in middle before southpaw's dismissal put brakes on scoring rate, limiting total to 149 for five. " first 10-12 overs we played really well. I think we could t really get going after a good start and lost game between 12th to 15th over," Bavuma, who has played 36 Tests, said after seven-wicket loss to India. "When David came in 13th over, we were in a strong position, 180 seemed very much gettable at halfway st. I was t really able to get that momentum and ors as well. I don't think we were completely outplayed," said Bavuma who missed out on a well-deserved fifty by one run in his attempt to accelerate.

29-year-old from Cape Town said India are formidable but t unbeatable as Proteas aim to level series in Bengaluru on Sunday.  "y are formidable but t unbeatable. It was just one phase with bat where we let ourselves down and a quality side like India me us pay. "re will always be moments in game which we can win and it is about being aware of those moments and making sure we are in right mental to win those moments," said Bavuma.

Bavuma plays his maiden T20I

It is a new-look South African team and in absence of a few players, including skipper Faf du Plessis, Bavuma got opportunity to play his maiden T20 international alongside Anrich rtje and Bjorn Fortuin. Playing his first limited-overs game for South Africa in almost two years, Bavuma me it count. "It was good to be out re. Facing white ball again. It has been a while. It was a pleasing effort but did t do much to result of game. Last (domestic) season was a big season for me in white ball cricket. re were t many Tests and that allowed me to play white ball cricket. "I got opportunity to come back to national fold. It helped me understand what my gameplan is in white ball cricket," he explained. Is it tougher to make a T20 debut when one is being branded a red-ball specialist, like Bavuma? "I don't see myself as a selfish person. I always put team first. If you look at way that I got out it showed I put team first. It could be challenging for some ors who kw y will get only limited opportunities at international level but t for me," he said.  game saw two brilliant catches from Virat Kohli and David Miller. Bavuma picked Miller's spectacular catch of Shikhar Dhawan at long-on over one taken by Kohli to dismiss de Kock. "I would be biased here but Miller's catch was phemenal. I thought it was six but he mand to hold on to it," said Bavuma.

David Miller's acrobatic catch

David Miller took an acrobatic catch to get rid of Shikhar Dhawan which also broke  61-run second-wicket stand between him and Virat Kohli. It happened in 12th over of India's run chase which was bowled by Tabraiz Shamsi. On fourth delivery, Shamsi bowled a simple one on line of middle stump and Dhawan charged down track to deposit him into stands and in fact, he h connected ball well and it appeared that Gabbar would get ar boundary or a maximum. Unfortunately, for left-hander, his stay in middle was cut short after David Miller took a catch out of where. Miller covered a lot of ground, put in a spectacular dive and held on to ball with just one hand as he completed what a few experts believe as ' Catch of Century'. Miller's acrobatic catch left Indian skipper Virat Kohli in utter disbelief and even Dhawan could t believe what h just happened.
