'That's what happens when...': Alyssa Healy lifts the lid on heated face-off with Harmanpreet Kaur

The Indian Women's Cricket team has been on a warpath to make history in test cricket. The team has recently showcased a solid stance and has dominated in the red-ball format. After defeating England, Harmanpreet and co defeated the mighty Aussie Women, led by Alyssa Healy. Not only did they defeat them, but the Women's squad made history. This is the first time that the Indian Women's team beat the Aussie women, the number one team in test cricket.

Australia-W captain Alyssa Healy opens on the heated interaction with Harmanpreet Kaur

After the match concluded with Team India standing victorious, Alyssa Healy opened up on the heated moment that took place between her and Harmanpreet Kaur. The Indian Women's captain threw the ball towards Healy, which she defended with her bat. The ball rebounded and went towards the third-man barrier, resulting in four overthrows. It led to Kaur appealing for obstruction of the field. She then had a heated reaction after dismissing the Aussie captain in the next ball.

Speaking on the incident, Alyssa Healy said:

'I don't necessarily think there is a rivalry. I think that we're just two cricketers going at it. That's basically the way that I'd sum it up. She's obviously a passionate cricketer, so am I. That's what happens when Australia plays India. It's a good, hard contest. Yesterday was just probably an example of that.'

After the historic win in the one-off test match, the Indian Cricket Team will face the Aussie Women in a three-match T20I and ODI series, which will be played in Maharashtra. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team, with Shreyanka Patil set to make her debut in the ODI format.
