'The Time Feels Right'-New Zealand Pacer Tim Southee To RETIRE From Tests Post NZ vs ENG Test Series

New Zealand pacer Tim Southee has decided to call it a day on his test career after the conclusion of the England vs New Zealand Test series.

One of greatest bowlers in history of New Zealand cricket has decided to retire from red ball cricket once upcoming England vs New Zealand series is done and dusted with. Tim Soue announced that test match in Hamilton against England will be his last match but decision comes with a twist. Tim Soue has also announced that if his side reaches finals of World Test Championship n he will delay his retirement to after final.

Tim Soue has been one of greatest ever to play for New Zealand, he has taken 770 international wickets playing for New Zealand in all formats, as for his test stats, he has taken 385 wickets in tests for New Zealand.

Tim Soue while speaking to media said it would be a perfect way for him to call it a day on his test career in same place where he started it and against same opponent.

"Representing New Zealand was all I ever dreamed of growing up. To play for BLACKCAPS for 18 years has been greatest honor and privilege, but time feels right to now step away from game that has given so much to me," said Tim Soue as he spoke about his retirement.

'Test Cricket Holds A Special Place In My Heart'- Tim Soue

Tim Soue while speaking to media also furr stated that test cricket has a special place in his heart and it will be poetic for him to end his career against same opposition he started his career against.

"Test cricket holds a special place in my heart, so to be able to play such a big series against same opponent my Test career began against all those years ago, and on three grounds that are incredibly special to me, seems perfect way to end my time in black cap."

After Kane Williamson, Tim Soue was named captain of Black Caps but decided to step down and hand responsibility to Tom Latham before series against India.
