Mohammad Hafeez slams PCB and Pakistan Cricket Team
Following Pakistan's elimination from the Asia Cup, skipper Babar Azam was the target of severe criticism, which Mohammad Hafeez addressed openly. With their elimination from the Asia Cup Super 4 stage earlier this week, all eyes have been on the Pakistan national team. First, they lost by 228 runs to their bitter rivals in India, and then they lost by two wickets in a must-win match against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka won on the last ball of the match thanks to a brilliant effort by Charith Asalanka, leaving Babar Azam's team with a mountain of criticism to deal with. Some of Babar's decisions as captain have come under fire, and there are rumors of dissension in the locker room in the wake of their elimination.
Mohammad Hafeez, a former captain of Pakistan made a huge statement on the team. Hafeez blamed the whole effort, not just Babar's individual performance, for the crushing defeat at the hands of India. Babar had a hand in both scoring and stopping 228 runs.

228 runs naa toh akele kaptaan ne karne the, naa hi usne akele khaaye (The captain did not have to score those 228 runs, and he also did not give those runs away.). The players are responsible for that failure, and the management is responsible. I heard a statement that we hadn't lost a match in past three months... I couldn't understand that. 3 months of success doesn't give you the license to lose this badly. I understand that it hurts because we lost that way to India, the margin of defeat was big,
I believe Pakistan were better in the first game that was abandoned. But the second game, it caused damage to our mental state. And the way we lost to Sri Lanka, we weren't really there mentally. We were still hurting with loss against India.
