Border-Gavaskar Trophy: The countdown towards the big Australian Summer has already started with the IND vs AUS Test series just around the corner. After the happenings of the recently culminated IND vs NZ Test series, Australia start as favourites and are expected to dominate India Down Under. India's 3-0 series loss against New Zealand has piled up the pressure on them and they are in dire need of a redemption.

The Australian media is hardly giving India any chances of winning the BGT. Former Australian players too have questioned India's credentials. Ricky Ponting, Australia's two-time World Cup winning skipper went to the extent of saying that India will lose 3-1 to Australia. Now cricket broadcaster Harsha Bhogle has dissected Australia's chances of winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and it is not something that the Australian media or their former cricketers will like to hear.

'Let's look closely at that Australian side. Let's look closely at Australia's form. They went to play the Ashes in 2023, finished 2-2, but it rained in Manchester. It could've been easily 3-2 to England. Then, their home series, the two Test matches against Pakistan. Australia looked a bit iffy. Then of course, the Aussies lost to a very hit and miss Test side in the West Indies, the series was levelled at 1-1. Australia have looked very vulnerable too', said Harsha on his YouTube Channel.

The Indian broadcaster did praise Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon, but he also added that if all the four bowlers start leaking runs, the hosts will have nobody to get the job done for them.
