A senior BCCI source revealed that "stocks will be taken" after Australia series, and if India fails to qualify for World Test Championship (WTC) final, it's likely that four seniors won't be part of squ for ensuing five-match Test series against England later next year. source ded, "In any case, all four have likely played ir final Test at home toger."

BCCI is expected to roll out a structured phaseout policy before start of next WTC cycle, with Australia series being a crucial milestone in team's transition.

It is understood that BCCI is t keen on repeating 2011 saga when suddenly an old team was found to be out of sorts and hence selectors, especially chairman Agarkar and he coach Gambhir, would need to talk to senior cricketers about plan ahe.
