Tim Paine has been leading Australia's Test team quite well for some time. After Australia's star players, Steve Smith and David Warner were banned from international cricket for ir involvement in infamous ball-tampering scandal last year, onus of keeping spirits of Aussie team high was on Paine after he was named Test captain. In his captaincy, even though Aussies had to suffer ir first-ever Test series defeat against India at home y still mand to secure a big win over top-ranked Test side. Tim Paine's record in international cricket
Tim Paine was appointed Australia skipper after Steve Smith stepped down from captaincy for his involvement in ball-tampering scandal. 34-year-old has played 26 Tests for his side but has t been able to score a single hundred yet. He has third-highest Test aver for an Australian wicketkeeper of all time at 31.45 which is only behind Adam Gilchrist at 47.6 and Brad Haddin with 35.82. Australia's coach Justin Langer said that Steve Smith was unsure of wher cricketer was interested in taking up captaincy after he made his comeback post sandpaper gate scandal.
