Tensions Rise At WI Camp! Alzarri Joseph Confronts Shai Hope Over Fielding Placement During ODI Match vs ENG
During the fourth over of the 3rd ODI match between West Indies and England, Alzarri Joseph was seen at odds with WI skipper Shai Hope. The pacer expressed his frustration with the slip fielders' placement after his first delivery went off to point. He was then seen interacting towards Hope over the setup. The exchange went for quite a while and Alzarri's anger was evidently visible early in the innings.
After the agitated scenario, Alzarri fired a 148 km/h delivery towards English batter Jordan Cox, and the ball touched his glove and landed in the wicketkeeper's gloves. The pacer delivered a wicket maiden, but it was not enough to please him. Eventually, he made his way out of the play after having a heated exchange, and West Indies were left with ten players for an over until he returned to the field.

Despite the tussle, West Indies went on to win the match after they defeated England and sealed a 2-1 series win over the visiting Three Lions. While Phil Salt gave England a blazing start, England went on to lose momentum as they managed to score 263/8 on the scoreboard in the first innings.
Skipper Shai Hope was also asked about the on-field incident with Alzarri Joseph, where he avoided offering a comment on the scenario. However, he did mention that he was happy with the team's overall performance in the post-match presentation ceremony.
"No comments! In a situation like that, you have to understand that such things can happen. It shows that we always fight when we are challenged. The importance of doing things off the field translates onto the field. Really happy with the way our batting unit performed and the bowlers also did really well," Hope said after the match.
