Usman Khawaja lashes out at ICC after 10-point penalty to Australia: 'Makes lot of sense'
Australian opener Usman Khawaja takes a jibe at ICC as Australia get a 10 WTC points deduction for slow overrate during the recently concluded Ashes series.

Usman Khawaja has taken a jibe at ICC as Australia have been docked 10 World Test Championship points for maintaining a slow overrate throughout the Ashes. ICC announced on Wednesday that both England and Australia have been given a sanction as the latter has been fined a whopping 19 WTC points. Australia have retained the Ashes 2023 after a fighting performance in the five-match Test series. The Aussies are also the reigning holders of the WTC title.

Usman Khawaja slams ICC after Australia are given a 10 points penalty
Australian opener Khawaja didn't hold back and took to Twitter to vent his anger at the ICC as he claimed the Manchester Test was washed out for almost two days for persistent rain and ICC still held them accountable.

He tweeted, "Don't even get the chance to bowl in the second innings at Manchester due to 2 days of rain and @ICC still issue fines and take 10 WTC points of us for slow over rates! That makes a lot of sense..."
