Veteran New Zealand batter Colin Munro has officially anunced that he will step down from international action in all formats of cricket. veteran left-handed batter made revelation public after he did t find a place in BLACKCAPS' squad for T20 World Cup 2024 in United States and Caribbean Islands. New Zealand head coach Gary Stead affirmed that Munro's name was on table for World Cup squad, but veteran failed to make cut. veteran southpaw batter n anunced his International retirement.
"Playing for Black Caps has always been biggest achievement in my playing career. I never felt prouder than donning that jersey, and fact that I've been able to do that 123 times across all formats is something I will always be incredibly proud of.

"Although it has been a while since my last. appearance, I never gave up hope that I might be able to return off back of my franchise T20 form. With anuncement of Black Caps squad for T20 World Cup w is perfect time to close that chapter officially," Munro said as quoted by a statement from New Zealand Cricket Board.
Despite anuncing that he has called time on his International Cricket career, Munro, 37, will be active in franchise cricket scene.

Colin Munro represented New Zealand in one Test, 57 ODIs, and 65 T20Is. He was a standout performer, with three centuries in shortest format. In 2018, he set a New Zealand record with a century off 47 balls against West Indies. In addition, he hit a record-breaking 14 balls for a half-century against Sri Lanka, which is fourth quickest in Twenty20 international cricket.
