VIRAL: A picture of man in a local train is going viral for his uncanny resemblance to Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri is no stranger to headlines, but recently he became the butt of all jokes after a picture of a man sitting in Mumbai local train went viral, which bore an uncanny resemblance to the current Indian head coach.

The man in the picture termed as the doppelganger of Ravi Shastri has sparked a meme war on the internet. The Twitterati left no stone turned to come up with some hilarious captions, ranging from Shastri's equation with skipper Virat Kohli to the struggles of a local commuter.

While the identity of the man pictured in the suburban train remains unknown, he has become a media sensation overnight. Here are some of the best reactions from those who poked fun at Shastri's doppelganger.

Ravi Shastri has lately been at the receiving end of some severe backlash after India suffered a 4-1 Test series drubbing during the tour of England. However, after that setback, India has bounced back brilliantly to win their seventh Asia Cup crown and complete a clean sweep of the currently on-going West Indies series. And much credit for that goes to Ravi Shastri.

However, Shastri's biggest litmus test ahead of the much-anticipated World Cup will come in the form of the upcoming tour of Australia,  where India is scheduled to play a full-fledged series consisting of three T20Is, five Tests and three ODIs.

Meanwhile, during the second T20I against West Indies, Rohit Sharma added another feather to his cap after the highest run-getter for India in the shortest format of the game. By doing so, he also surpassed Virat Kohli who was the previous holder of this record.

The right-handed batsman with 2203 runs to his name has now surpassed Virat Kohli's tally of 2102 runs. While the 31-year-old tops the charts, Suresh Raina (1,605), MS Dhoni (1,487) and Yuvraj Singh (1,177) complete this list of highest run-getters in the shortest format.

While in the overall standings in terms of this record, Rohit Sharma sits at the second spot, followed by New Zealand's Brendon McCullum 2140 runs and Pakistan's Shoaib Malik 2190 runs. New Zealand opener Martin Guptill leads the tally with 2,271 runs.
