Virat Kohli & Sachin Tendulkar lead wishes as India register famous win against Australia

Batting megastars Virat Kohli and, Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Team India after they registered an emphatic win by eight wickets at the MCG on Tuesday

Batting megastars Sachin Tendulkar & Virat Kohli came forward to laud Team India after y registered an empathic win in Boxing Day Test at iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday. This was a much-needed win for India after a humiliating loss in pink-ball Test match that was played at Adelaide Oval 10 days ago and by virtue of this win, y stay alive in four-match series as series is leveled at 1-1.

'Couldn't be happier'

Taking to micro-blogging site, India's regular skipper Virat Kohli who is currently on paternity leave first lauded amazing effort by whole team and n went on to mention that he could t be happier for boys especially stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane who led team to victory amazingly.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar went on to say that to win a Test match without services of key players including likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami is a 'terrific achievement'. Furrmore, Little Master also added that he loved resilience and character shown by team to put behind loss in 1st Test and level series and n termed it as a 'Brilliant Win'.

Tendulkar's former opening partner as well as ex-Indian vice-captain Virender Sehwag hailed a 'really special win at MCG' and n wrote that it was a great determination and character from Team India. Lauding Ajinkya Rahane's captaincy, Viru also heaped praise on Indian bowlers and youngster Shubman Gill.

Australia bundled out for 200, India successfully chase 70

Aussies in ir second innings were bundled out for 200 as y could only man to get a lead of 69 runs which means that visitors needed just 70 runs to level series 1-1. All-rounder Cameron Green top-scored for hosts with 45 while debutant Mohammed Siraj was pick of bowlers for India with figures of 3/37.
