King Kohli for a reason
Virat Kohli is once again the sole Indian in the Forbes 2019 list of world's highest-paid athletes, ranked 100th in the table. According to the Forbes list, Kohli estimated earnings $21 million from endorsements and $4 million from salary and winnings, taking his total tally to $25 million for the last 12 months. For two consecutive years, Virat Kohli’s name has been finding a place in Forbes magazines world’s highest-paid athletes' list. In 2018, he made a whopping $24 million. Interestingly, most of Kohli's earnings come from endorsements. Forbes also states that the world's highest-paid cricketer's brand value is at $14.5 million (approximately ₹105 crore), which is higher than that of football icon Lionel Messi, golf superstar Rory McIlroy and Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry.

Virat Kohli's stardom means brands are queuing to rope him in as their face going forward. Some of the major brands that Kohli endorses are Puma, Hero MotoCorp, Audi India, Vicks, Uber India, Manyavar and Blue Star.
Wrogn: A fashion brand was also co-created by Virat Kohli and founded by Universal Sportsbiz. In January 2017, the Indian skipper along with Hong Kong-based consumer electronics company – Zeeva, launched MuveAcoustics. His partnership with Puma in creating a shoe-line One8 has also been a successful venture.

Virat Kohli's salary
Kohli was one of just three Indian cricketers selected for the nation's new A+ contracts. Recently, BCCI reportedly doubled the remuneration to be paid to the Indian cricketers this year with players of A+ grade getting $1 million. Thanks to this superior pay-scale along with the number of matches played he made USD 4 million in the year.
