Nothing seemed to work out for South Africa as they lost the toss in the third Test even though Temba Bavuma made the call in place of skipper Faf DuPlessis

India's skipper Virat Kohli along with presenter Murali Karthik burst into laughter as soon as Indian skipper won toss, making it ninth consecutive time that Faf DuPlessis has lost toss in India. Faf DuPlessis h expressed his intentions to send his deputy Temba Bavuma out to call for toss in his place to break jinx but even that did t work out for Proteas skipper. Virat Kohli, who elected to bat first in Ranchi, called it a ' brainer' to bat first in third and final Test, as India will hope to complete whitewash and extend ir le at top of Test Championship.

Harsha Bhogle h questioned Faf DuPlessis' decision to send ar player in hopes to win toss and h said that irrespective of who came out, chances of winning were one out of two chances. India's skipper Virat Kohli won toss and decided to bat first, thus proving Harsha Bhogle's insight on South Africa to be correct. Indian commentator and analyst took to Twitter after toss to convey that it did t matter who attended toss for South Africa as even y could t win toss in place of Faf DuPlessis.
