Virat Kohli on Cusp of MAJOR Milestones During India-New Zealand 2nd Test in Pune

India's premier batter Virat Kohli will have major milestones to look forward to when they take on New Zealand in the second Test at Pune. While India would look forward to winning the Test and levelling the series, Kohli would be on the cusp of a number of milestones when he walks out to bat. And given his stature, one cannot write-off the chances of Kohli getting those milestones. Let's now take a look at the milestones Kohli could achieve during the second Test.

Milestones Kohli Could Breach in Pune Test

#Donald Bradman's Test Century Tally: Kohli currently has 29 Test centuries to his name which keeps him at par with the legendary Aussie batter. The Indian run-machine needs one more century to go past Bradman, that would be a massive feat in itself. 

#Warner's WTC Tally: Australian veteran David Warner is one of the finest openers in the world and he also has been one of the best in World Test Championship history amassing 2423 runs at an average of 37.27. This includes five centuries and eight fifties. Kohli needs 20 more runs to go past Warner's tally in terms of runs. Kohli has 2,404 runs at an average of 38.77, which includes four centuries and 11 fifties.

#Jayasuriya's Test Fifty Tally: Former Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya was one of the best batters during his era. During the second Test at Pune, Virat Kohli will stand a chance to go past the Sri Lankan's tally of 31 Test fifties. Kohli currently has 31 and needs one more to go past the Lankan legend. 

Kohli, given his stature and ability, would be the key to India's fortunes in Pune. The side would look at him for runs and inspiration. The second Test between India-New Zealand starts from October 24.
