IND vs BAN 1st Test: India are taking on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. India are returning to Test cricket after a gap of over five months with the IND vs BAN Test series starting on September 19, 2024. The first match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The BCCI announced the squad for the first Test match against Bangladesh and pace bowler Akash Deep who impressed everybody in the England Test series has also been included.

Virat Kohli 's Special Gift For Akash Deep

Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Akash Deep has been one of the finds of the Indian team. The RCB pacer impressed everybody with his accuracy in the India vs England Test series and has now been picked up for the India vs Bangladesh series. If all goes well for Akash Deep, he might also be a part of India's squad that flies off to Australia later this year for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Ahead of the first Test match, Virat Kohli presented Akash Deep with a special gift. Kohli gifted Akash his bat and the seamer took to Instagram to share a picture of it.

Virat Kohli 's Much-Anticipated Test Comeback

Virat Kohli undoubtedly has been one of the stalwarts of the game and has also led India across all the three formats. Virat Kohli's captaincy in Test cricket has been rated very highly and is one of the golden chapters of the Indian cricket history. Virat Kohli recently  retired from T20Is after winning the World Cup in June this year and will only play Tests and ODIs for India.

Virat Kohli missed the entire IND vs ENG Test series due to personal reasons earlier this year and will mark his comeback in the Bangladesh series. Kohli was also exempted from playing the Duleep Trophy owing to his massive workload and keeping in mind the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
