Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma Have Fans...: Wasim Akram Urges Team India to Come to Pakistan For CT 2025

After Mohammed Rizwan, former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram has also urged the Indian team to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.

After Mohammed Rizwan, former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram has also urged Indian team to travel to Pakistan for Champions Trophy . Claiming that Indian stars like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have a lot of fans in Pakistan, Akram admitted that he has been getting positive vibes from Indian government about it. Akram reckons Indian team will travel to Lahore for ir games and travel back to Amritsar on same night. 

‘re are positive vibes’

“I think, based on what I’m reading, re are positive vibes from Indian government and BCCI,” Akram told reporters during an online press conference from Melbourne.

“y will likely come to Lahore and travel back same night. I’m all for it, as long as India is comfortable.”

“And I can promise you, y are going to be looked after amazingly well. Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli , Rohit Sharma , Hardik Pandya , and Suryakumar Yadav have fans in Pakistan. Young cricket fans adore m,” he said.

t long back, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that all teams would be travelling to Pakistan, that includes India. 

Meanwhile, Rizwan was recently appointed as white-ball captain of Pakistan and that has drawn a lot of reactions. Akram too spoke about it and hailed Rizwan claiming that he has experience of leading sides and should do well.

“Rizwan is an experienced player. He has captained teams throughout his career, leading Multan Sultans in PSL to one trophy and two finals,” Akram said.

‘All teams will come to Pakistan’

“Do t worry, all teams will come to Pakistan to play Champions Trophy ,” Naqvi stated in Karachi.

Pakistan is set to play a white-ball series in Australia. Pakistan side will play three ODIs and an equal number of T20I games.
