Team India's star cricketer and Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul once again came into the limelight but this time for non cricketing reasons as his Instagram story tested the anxiety of the fans and left them curious with a straightforward 8-word message. But as it turned out it was a marketing strategy.
Apart from his marketing stunt, KL Rahul also grabbed the limelight for organising an auction alongside his wife Athiya Shetty to raise money for Charity. As it turned out, all the spotlight was once again stolen by Team India's star batter Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli's memorabilia was in huge demand at the auction and got sold at a whopping price.

For the benefit of Vipla Foundation, KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty organised an auction ‘Cricket for a Cause’ to raise charity funds to help hearing-impaired and intellectually disabled students.
In the auction top Indian Cricket stars such as MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had all donated their sports memorabilia to be auctioned off at the event.
As it turned out, King Kohli once again proved his star power in cricket as he surpassed MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma in the auction.
Virat Kohli's RCB jersey and his gloves sold for a total value of 68 Lakhs. Virat Kohli's jersey went for a whopping price tag of Rs 40 Lakhs while his gloves were sold for a whopping cost of Rs 28 Lakhs.
On the other hand MS Dhoni's bat was sold for Rs 13 Lakhs, while Rohit Sharma's bat was sold for Rs 24 Lakhs. On the other hand sadly for KL Rahul his 2023 ODI World Cup final went unsold.
Did KL Rahul announce retirement?
No KL Rahul did not announce his retirement from professional cricket. He posted on his Instagram story saying he had an announcement to make and soon a fake screenshot did the rounds on Social Media in which he was seen announcing his retirement.
However, KL Rahul made no such statement but due to the fake screenshot the fans were left confused over whether the cricketer retired or not.
