Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag sent a witty response to Michael Vaughan's birthday wishes after the latter wished him for his 50th birthday instead of the actual 41st. Former England skipper Michael Vaughan tried to pull Virender Sehwag's leg as he took to Twitter to wish the explosive opener, and wished him for his 50th birthday. Virender Sehwag, who is on a replying spree to all those who wished him, mocked Michael Vaughan and sarcastically asked him how he managed to keep track of his age. In addition to this, Virender Sehwag said that he was timeless and ageless, inviting a flurry of funny responses from the netizens.

Responding to the Board of Control of Cricket in India's (BCCI) wishes on his birthday, former Indian opener hailed the timing of the tribute - exactly at 12 AM. BCCI had shared one of Virender Sehwag's most memorable moment during the Test game in Chennai against South Africa in 2008 where he scored 319 runs, becoming the only Indian to score two triple centuries in Tests. As an explosive opening batsman, Virender Sehwag is known for playing brutal and fearless knocks and has often got the team off to a flying start with his dynamic batting. Reacting to BCCI's wishes, Virender Sehwag said that timing mattered the most and that he was impressed with the timing of BCCI's birthday wishes to him.

Cricketing fraternity wishes Sehwag

Tributes and wishes poured in for former Indian opener Virender Sehwag as fans and former cricketers hailed the 'most dangerous batsman of all-era' on his birthday. The explosive opener from Delhi amassed 8586 runs in Tests and 8273 runs in ODIs during his international career that spanned for over two decades. If there was one Indian batsman who terrified the bowlers as long as he was in the crease, it was Virender Sehwag. Moments of Virender Sehwag scoring a triple ton in Pakistan where he stood tall with a 309-run knock at Multan in 2003 will be etched in the memories of die-hard cricket fans along with many other such moments that he has contributed to in his record-studded career. Members of the cricketing fraternity and netizens hailed Virender Sehwag as one of the most entertaining batsman across all formats of the game, as they took to social media to wish their beloved 'Viru paaji'.
