Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has received sound advice from Virender Sehwag. The former Pakistan captain is going through the worst phase of his career and this advice from Sehwag could help him revive his fortunes. As per Sehwag, Babar should go back to domestic cricket, score runs and then look to make a comeback. Sehwag said this on Shoaib Akhtar's YouTube channel.

‘Babar Azam should play domestic cricket now’

"Babar Azam should play domestic cricket now. He should work on his fitness, spend some time with family, then come back to international cricket as a physically fitter and mentally stronger player,” said Sehwag on former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s Youtube Channel.

"With expectations from Babar decreasing and his resignation from captaincy, it seems he has been more impacted mentally than in terms of technique. He needs to stay mentally strong. He's a talented player, and players like him tend to bounce back quickly," Sehwag added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan bounced back with a win in Multan in the second Test to level the series 1-1. Kamran Ghulam, who came into the side as Babar's replacement, hit a century and won accolades.

Pakistan 's Sajid Khan was the star with the ball and was rightly selected as the player of the match.

“We lost the last two series, we just backed our process. Thanks to the Multan crowd for all the support. Noman is one of the most experienced players in our tea, he shares his experience with all of us and he's played everywhere. I got the wickets in the first innings, he got the wickets in the second,” Sajid said at the post-match presentation.

The third Test match takes place at Rawalpindi and it starts from October 24.
