Yet another dramatic incident took place during the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday.

In the fourth over of the Kolkata innings, Rajasthan's Dhawal Kulkarni bowled a good ball which came inside well, but Chris Lynn missed the ball completely. While Kulkarni raised his hands up in celebration thinking that the timber was disturbed, his celebrations were short-lived when he saw that the wicket was not broken. He wondered in dismay about what just happened.

Following the incident, Rajasthan skipper Ajinkya Rahane was seen having a little chat with on-field umpire. While Kulkarni gave a shocking expression over the incident, Lynn and his opening partner Sunil Narine shared a good laugh. Even Steve Smith could not believe what he had witnessed.

A similar incident took place on Saturday during the contest between Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab where the Dhoni's ball had hit the wicket but the bails refused to come off.

Meanwhile, in the first innings, Steve Smith finally made his bat do the talking as he registered his first half-century of this season and the sixth one of his IPL career. He came out to bat in the second over after the dismissal of skipper Ajinkya Rahane and stitched in a 72 run second wicket stand with Jos Buttler. The KKR bowlers bowled a good line and length as the runs were hard to come by for the Royals.

Buttler was dismissed in the 12th over after having scored a 34-ball 37. On the hand, Smith continued to keep the scoreboard ticking for Rajashan as he scored an unbeaten 59-ball 73 at a strike rate of 127.73 which included seven boundaries and a six. His unbeaten knock helped Rajasthan Royals reach a decent total of 139/3 in their 20 overs.
