The 'Royal Battle' between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals was called off due to rain as both the teams shared a point each at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday. RCB skipper Virat Kohli's bad luck with the toss continued as he lost the 10th toss in 13th games after the coin had landed in visiting captain Steve Smith's favour who then decided to bowl first. However, even before the action was started there was a heavy downpour in Bengaluru as the match was delayed without a ball being bowled. The covers came off some time later but the rain gods intervened once again and played a spoilsport.
While the rain gods tested the patience of both the fans and viewers, there was one thing that caught their eyes. The 'Wall of Indian Cricket' Rahul Dravid was seen sitting in the stands along with his better half Vijeta Pendharkar Dravid to catch the action between RCB and RR. The Bengaluru crowd was very overwhelmed by the presence of the local boy.

The former Indian skipper had not only represented both sides but had also led them. Dravid played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first three seasons and then captained Rajasthan Royals in the next three seasons before announcing his retirement from T20 Cricket in 2013. During his IPL career, he was a part of the RCB squad that made it to the finals in 2009 where they lost to the now-defunct Deccan Chargers. The Wall had also led Royals to playoffs in 2013 and to the finals of CLT20 in the same year where they went down to Mumbai Indians.
