In the 2nd T20 between India and West Indies, once again Indian batsmen had a hard time scoring runs. After 20 overs the team put on a tricky total of 152/7, at the Providence Stadium. While most of the batsmen got out in a conventional manner, Suryakumar Yadav was sent back courtesy of a brilliant fielding by Kyle Mayers.

Kyle Mayers sends Suryakumar Yadav packing after a brilliant throw

During the 4th over of India's innings, Ishan Kishan tried to steal a quick single off Obed McCoy. He played it towards the mid-wicket region where an alert Kyle Myers collected the ball instantaneously and took a shy at the stumps. Mayers hits the bull's eye and despite making a desperate dive Suryakumar Yadav could not save himself. Yadav's wicket was India's second and at that time the score read 18/2 after 3.3 overs.  

This is Mayers second run-out success in the series. In the first T20 he dismissed Sanju Samson with a similar throw, which in turn turned the match towards the Windies, who won the match by 4 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

India vs West Indies: 2nd T20

In the 2nd T20, India kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and could post a target of only 153 in front of West Indies. West Indies in reply went off to a horrific start losing two wickets in the first over. Windies lost another one but at this moment Nichalos Pooran is running havoc and scoring at a brisk pace.

Ahead of the start of the T20 series, two Tests and 3 ODIs have been played. India decimated the hosts in Tests and won the series 1-0. In ODIs, the visitors won by 2-1. As for T20s, excluding the 1st match and the second T20 which is being played today, another 3 matches are scheduled.
