As a result of this, RCB became first team to be kcked out of competition while Rajasthan will need to win ir final league game to keep ir playoff hopes alive.

However, before inaugural edition winners play ir final league game against Delhi Capitals on Saturday it was time for one of ir most important pillars of strength to say goodbye. RR skipper Steve Smith had played his last match of this season against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He would w be departing back home to join Australian squad for World Cup preparations.

Before leaving former Aussie skipper had a special mess for his team-mates.

"Thanks boys. I have absolutely loved last seven or eight weeks that I have been here. It has been great and we have played some really good Cricket. It has been great to be here and play with you all. Make sure that you guys finish strong in Delhi."
