On August 23, 2023, India created history as it became the fourth country in the world to land successfully on the moon through the Chandrayaan 3 project. Other than India, the USA, Russia, and China have achieved a soft landing on the Moon. India achieved the historic feat in their third attempt and has also become the first country to land on the southern surface of the Moon.

The sporting world has congratulated ISRO and come up with various reactions to the soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the Moon.

How India created history with Chandrayaan mission

The ISRO scientists kept an eye on the soft landing of the Chandrayaan 3 throughout the 40 days after its launch. Around 05:44 PM, on August 23, 2023, ISRO started the automatic landing process of the Vikram lander, which also started the 20 minutes of terror. The last 20 minutes of the landing of Vikram Lander, was like a century of ISRO scientists, and at last, when it touched the lunar surface of the Moon, India created history and became only the fourth nation in the world to reach the Moon's crust.
