Venkatesh Prasad slams a netizen for questioning his achievements
Over the course of the past 17 hours, Prasad posted a series of tweets, with one being subsequently deleted. He initially criticized the "unreasonable demand" for a reserve day specifically for the India-Pakistan Asia Cup Super Fours game. He then launched a scathing attack on the BCCI for scheduling changes for the World Cup.
Prasad emphasized that the BCCI must significantly improve its performance to ensure a smoother experience for cricket fans. Prasad's recent social media outburst against the cricket administration began on the evening of September 8, when he shared a tweet that discussed the allocation of a reserve day for only one Super Fours game – the India-Pakistan match – by the Asian Cricket Council.
Prasad took aim at an unnamed individual whom he accused of being "corrupt" and "arrogant," suggesting that this individual had tainted the entire leadership of cricket administration in the country. Prasad later deleted this post and shifted his focus to responding to netizens who started questioning him about the removed tweet.
In response to a social media user who questioned his achievements as a cricketer, Prasad highlighted a few of his own accomplishments and inquired about the individual's own career achievements, essentially asking, "What is your career?"
India vs Pakistan the iconic rivalry
India and Pakistan are currently locking horns against each other in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill provided a solid start to India after Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. However, rain interrupted the match midway in the first innings with India batting at 147/2 in 24.1 overs.
