Moeen Ali Wants Bowling Legend James Anderson to Feature in the Hundred League
Moeen Ali recently opened up on bringing James Anderson to be a part of Birmingham Phoenix and compete in The Hundred in case a seam bowler goes down with an injury. He deemed Jimmy as an awesome pick for the job and is eager to get him if there is a chance.
"If we had an injury, I would honestly have tried to call up Jimmy Anderson, because he would have been awesome. They've been swinging it every game. If we had an injury, I have been talking about it.
"I would've tried to get Jimmy to play. Other teams would do the same. He would be amazing in this format, the way the balls are swinging. Who is better than him, when it's swinging? We had Woody to cover him, but if one of our bowlers went down...! I'm not sure if it's still possible. On Woody, he is a great guy but his experience...you can't beat it. He brings a lot to the team," Moeen Ali said as per BirminglamLive.

Moeen Ali's statement is coming at a time when James Anderson is considering a return to cricket. The bowling great played his final Test match, but it looks like he doesn't want to stay far from the game and has rejuvenated intrigue over the game's shorter formats lately. The Hundred could be the spot if he seriously considering a return in the short format.
