In a stunning display of pace bowling, Bangladesh 's young sensation Hasan Mahmud sent shockwaves through the Indian cricket team in the ongoing first Test match in Chennai. The 22-year-old pacer, who has only three Tests under his belt, dismissed three of India's most formidable batsmen, Rohit Sharma , Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli , in a mesmerizing spell that left the hosts reeling at 34/3 within the first 10 overs.

Hasan Mahmud's impressive performance began with a close call against Rohit Sharma , where the umpire's decision went in favor of the Indian skipper. However, Mahmud's persistence paid off soon after, as Rohit nicked one to the slips, departing for a mere 6 runs. Shubman Gill, who replaced Rohit Sharma, didn't fare much better, edging one down the leg to wicketkeeper Litton Das for a duck.
