Jos Buttler makes a huge statement on the left-out bowler

Despite Jofra Archer's lengthy absence from the England Cricket Team, white-ball skipper Jos Buttler remains optimistic about his potential contributions to the squad in the coming future. Buttler is excited to have Archer back in action with the team and hopes to see the brilliant right-arm speedster back on the pitch soon.

However, with a persistent stress fracture in his right elbow, Archer's prospects of being included in England's final 15-man squad for the 2023 World Cup are low, as the tournament starts in less than 20 days. Although he had recently returned to the highest level of cricket with Mumbai Indians in Cape Town, he missed the full English summer and the Ashes series due to an injury that had been bothering him for some time. According to ESPN Cricinfo, he said:

There's a huge duty of care to [Archer]. He's been out of the game for a while, and he's still a young man who's got a lot of cricket ahead of him. It's obviously exciting to see him in an England tracksuit and bowling and, even when he looks like he's going through the motions, he creates a lot of speed.

So yeah, he's a superstar. We'll find out again more over time as to how he's always travelling, but we're excited that he'll be back on the park soon.

Archer helped England win the last ICC ODI World Cup, he was the bowler to have the most wickets in the tournament. In 11 matches, he took 20 wickets.  It is important to note that he was one of the bowlers to bowl in the Super Overs of the ICC ODI World 2019 final against New Zealand, which England won on July 14, 2019.
