World Cup 2019 | Imam-ul-Haq hit-wicket after scoring century, Inzy's legacy lives on say Netizens

Soon after Pakistani opener, Imam-ul-Haq made it to the Lord's board of Honour for scoring a century like his uncle Inzamam-ul-Haq, he lost his wicket in the same bizarre manner as his uncle did, that too in England.

Pakistan were dealt multiple blows in their game against Bangladesh on 5 July. Needing a huge total in order to even attempt beating the Tigers by a big margin, the Pakistani openers failed to fire, with Fakhar Zaman being dismissed for a mere 13 off 31 balls. The other opener, Imam-ul-Haq, stayed but did not further Pakistan's ambitious 500-run target as he brought about a run-a-ball century.

If you thought the century was the good part, wait for the embarrassing bit. As soon as he hit his century and celebrated, he became the victim of a nostalgic manner in which his uncle Inzamam-ul-Haq's wicket fell- a hit wicket. Yes, you read it right, just after Imam celebrated his 100, he stepped on the stumps, taking away his own wicket.

Netizens couldn't contain themselves as they took to Twitter to remind the young lad about the nostalgic memory he now shared with his uncle apart from being mentioned in the board of Honours at the Lord's.

Pakistan set a target of 316 for Bangladesh, as they now have no possibility of making it to the semi-finals unless they miraculously get the Tigers bowled out for a mere double-digit low score. Pakistan's skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed had earlier claimed that the team would attempt to make 500 runs.
