Team India earned ir semifinal spot after a 28-run win over Banglesh in ir ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Tuesday. Men In Blue thus became second team after reigning five-time World Champions Australia to book ir place in last four. 

Indian skipper Virat Kohli won toss and elected to bat first. India got off to a flying start as openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma put on 180 runs for first wicket. Hitman scored 104 in 92 deliveries After two explosive openers were dismissed, it seemed that India h run out of steam as y lost skipper Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya early. MS Dhoni (35)  and youngster Rishabh Pant (48) were n involved in a 40-run stand for fifth wicket.

Banglesh bowlers bowled a tight spell as India were restricted to 314/9 in ir 50 overs. Mustafizur Rahman picked up a fifer. He finished with figures of 5/59 in his 10 overs.

In reply, Banglesh got off to a good start before, y were pushed back to backfoot after losing a couple of wickets. Shakib Al Hasan n scored a 74-ball 66 to keep Banglesh in hunt. After his dismissal, all-rounder Mohamm Saifuddin took onus of taking his team over line. He remained unbeaten on a 38-ball 51 as Jasprit Bumrah completed formalities by picking up last two wickets off consecutive deliveries. Banglesh were bowled out for 286 with two overs to spare. This loss also meant that y were kcked out of qurennial event. Rohit Sharma was judged Man of Match for his stellar kck.
