South Africa signed off with a consolation 10-run win against reigning World Champions Australia during their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at the OldTrafford in Manchester on Saturday. Australia's loss meant that they finished the league stages at the second spot with seven wins, two losses and 14 points in their tally while India finished at the summit with seven wins, one loss and 15 points in their nine games. Therefore, Australia will now take on hosts England in the second semi-final on Thursday while the Men In Blue will be locking horns against New Zealand on Tuesday.

Coming back to this contest, there were some standout performances which generated some interest in this otherwise inconsequential match. They included Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis' splendid ton, some good batting performances by South Africa. However, there were also a couple of spectacular performances from South African wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock. One of them included a stunning catch to get rid off the dangerous Glenn Maxwell.

It happened in the 25th over of Australia's run chase which was bowled by Kagiso Rabada. On the very first delivery, the South African speedster bowled a delivery outside the off stump as Maxwell attempted to play a pull shot. Nonetheless, the ball took the outside edge and flew back very quickly only to find de Kock who showed a tremendous amount of flexibility and jumped his catch to perfection behind the stumps.
