AFG vs BAN: Afghanistan qualify for T20 World Cup semis for first time, Australia knocked out

Afghanistan has made it happen as they defeat Bangladesh in a rain-hit game to secure their spot in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2024

It is a historic night at the Arnos Vale Stadium as Afghanistan had the dream and the capacity to turn it onto a reality. The Afghans dreamed to make it happen in the T20 World Cup 2024, and any cricket fan would believe in miracles after what happened at the Caribbean. The Rashid Khan-led side has done the unthinkable as they have derailed Bangladesh to seal their spot in the semifinal of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. They have defeated the Bangla Tigers in a rain-hit affair.

BELIEVE IN MIRACLES! Afghanistan trounces BAN, AUS to qualify for the T20 World Cup semifinals

It is a celebration for the Afghan Atalans as Rashid Khan and company have trounced the Najmul Shanto-led Bangladesh side as they defeated them in the Super 8 match to advance into the semifinal stage. It was an absolute celebration at the dugout as the team made their mark in such a level as they defeated an Asian cricket giant to advance further into the competition. It is safe to say that Afghanistan dared to dream for the moment and they turned it into reality.

The BAN vs AFG Super 8 clash will go down as one of the most intense battles as several close calls were seen at the match-up, leading to the excitement of Afghanistan's grand win. Rashid Khan and Naveen-ul-Haq were the stars of the night as they took their respective four-fers, and Liton Das' half century went in vain.

After routing Bangladesh, the Afghans will be out to a test as they will face South Africa in the first semifinal match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. One of the teams will advance into the final, where they will be up against the winner of the second semifinal. India and England will lock horns in that game, and one of them will advance further.
