'All I could say back was': Marnus Labuschagne opens up on Virat Kohli stare in ODI World Cup final
Team India lost its ninth ICC knockout match in the last ten years after facing defeat from Australia in the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Australia once again gave proof to the world that they are a dominant force in ICC events after defeating India in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. The Aussies won their sixth ODI World Cup title and also the second ICC title of this. Australian batter Travis Head slammed a hundred in the final played in Ahmedabad and guided the team to victory.

Marnus Labuschagne reveals heated interaction with Virat Kohli in IND vs AUS CWC 2023 final
Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne and Indian batsman Virat Kohli engaged in a deadly stare during the second innings of India vs Australia CWC 2023 final match. While Australia won the ODI World Cup for the sixth time, the Indian team lost its ninth ICC knockout match in the last ten years. Labuschagne recently wrote about the incident in his recent newsletter ‘My World Cup Final Wrap’. Marnus Labuschagne wrote:
It was so loud and the wave of momentum India had was immense. The Indian team were getting into me and all I could say back, and very truthfully at that, was 'I actually can't hear what you're saying over the crowd'. On this bus ride to the ground, there were fans lining the streets from about 5km out. It was amazing to see the fans get behind the game like they did.

Virat Kohli's tremendous CWC 2023
Indian batter Virat Kohli was adjudged the Player of the Tournament for being the highest run scorer of the CWC 2023. Kohli slammed 765 runs from 11 games which included a total of three centuries and six half centuries. The Indian batter also broke a lot of records and became the only batsman to score 50 ODI hundreds.
