From Virat Kohli to Rohit Sharma, Indian players who may retire from T20Is after T20 World Cup final

As India prepares for T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa, speculations are rife about future of several key players. Among those who might bid farewell to T20 internationals are some of India's most celebrated cricketers.

Indian players who may retire from T20Is after T20 World Cup 2024

Virat Kohli: former captain and prolific batsman has been a cornerstone of India’s squad across all formats for years. With an illustrious career marked by numerous records and match-winning performances, Kohli may decide to step away from shortest format to focus on or formats and man his workload.

Rohit Sharma: current captain and one of most successful T20I batsmen, Rohit's leadership has been instrumental in India’s recent successes. As he approaches twilight of his career, Rohit Sharma might choose to retire from T20Is to extend his career in ODIs and Tests.

Ravindra Jadeja: all-rounder, kwn for his exceptional fielding and crucial contributions with both bat and ball, is ar player who could consider retirement from T20Is. Jadeja’s focus may shift more towards Tests and ODIs, where his skills are equally invaluable.

Ravichandran Ashwin: veteran spinner, rewned for his strategic acumen and match-winning spells, could decide to end his T20I career to focus on Tests. He played in previous T20 World Cup in 2022 but was t picked this year.

Shardul Thakur: Kwn for his all-round capabilities, Shardul Thakur might also consider stepping away from T20Is, channeling his energies towards or formats where he has proven his mettle.
